Summary

The Center Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center's care. The role involves overall operational management, including curriculum development, staff and facilities management, legal and budgetary considerations, and long-range planning. The Director ensures that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage the quality vision for the center, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop educational curricula and collaborate with staff to implement positive learning activities.
  • Maintain student records following enrollment guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents and implement community outreach to foster positive relationships.
  • Approve menus and food purchases.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee office functions such as payroll, billing, HR, and purchasing.
  • Resolve conflicts and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage budget planning and review.
  • Establish illness and emergency procedures and train staff accordingly.
  • Implement strategic plans aligned with the program's mission.
  • Maintain a personal professional development plan for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in an early childhood setting.
  • High energy and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology.
  • Ability to work well with staff, children, and parents, fostering a team environment.
  • Understanding of child development.
  • Strong finance and budgeting skills.
  • Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Clear background check and health screening.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in early childhood education or related field, with at least 30 credits in ECE.
