Job summary

The Learning Lamp’s Center for Children at GJCTC in Richland Township is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time staff. Centers operate 6 a.m.–6 p.m., with full-time staff on 8-hour shifts and part-time flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education certification a plus.
• Previous experience with children highly preferred.
• Willingness to complete required clearances and training (mandated reporter, physical, TB test).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR and first aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities and maintain a secure environment.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other basic care routines.
• Foster independence and age-appropriate self-help skills.
• Follow daily schedules and conduct educational activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents and colleagues.
