Job summary

ECS4Kids in Florida is seeking a Behavior Specialist to develop and provide behavior intervention services for children with challenging behaviors, ensuring social-emotional development and classroom success under Head Start standards.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists, oversee BIPs, train staff, and maintain confidential records while promoting trauma-informed practices and school readiness goals.

Qualifications

• BCaBA certification or equivalent with supervision
• Degree from APBA-accredited or ABAI-accredited program with fieldwork or undergrad with ABA coursework and fieldwork
• Experience with children with special needs and challenging behaviors in Early Childhood Education

Responsibilities

• Conduct FBAs to identify factors behind challenging behaviors.
• Develop and oversee BIPs and intervention plans.
• Supervise RBTs under BCBA supervision.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to implement plans.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare progress reports.
