Job summary

EveryChild California is seeking an Associate Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education team. You will support the growth and development of children aged 0-5 while helping provide high-quality education and care.

This role requires 12 semester units in ECE/CD with core classes, a CDA Credential or CTC at hire (or apply within 60 days), and at least 6 months of related experience. A California driver’s license may be required for travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 12 semester units in ECE/CD with core classes (Child Growth & Development; Child, Family & Community; ECE/CD Programs/Curriculum).
• Infant/Toddler position requires 3 units of Infant/Toddler courses.
• CDA Credential or CTC at hire, or apply within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and education for children ages 0-5, ensuring a positive, engaging learning experience.
• Collaborate with Center Supervisor and Teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assist in covering Teacher duties in their absence, guiding instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Assist in planning and executing educational activities that promote child development.
• Participate in physical activities with children, including games, music, and outdoor play.
• Assist with bus supervision and ensure children are engaged during transportation.
• Complete pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR training within the first 30 days of hire.
• Complete 16 hours of training on preventative health practices and nutrition within the first 30 days.
