UCP of Central Florida is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support an early childhood classroom (Infants–PreK) at the Pine Hills campus in Orlando. The role involves assisting the Teacher/LTA with instructional groups, materials, assessments, and data collection to monitor student progress.

The position supports a dynamic non-profit environment, offering competitive hourly pay and benefits. Qualifications include a GED or HS diploma, DCF 45-hour training within 90 days, and CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma
• DCF 45 hour Training completed within 90 days of hire
• CRP/First Aid Training completed

Responsibilities

• Implements lessons plan including instructional groups per teacher’s direction.
• Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom.
• Assist in administering assessments/progress monitoring.
• Works with the teacher in documenting academic progress through authentic observations and data collection.
• Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques and data collection.
• Perform lead teacher assistant duties in his/her absence.
• Keep up on best and promising practices for education (e.g., professional development, book studies).
• Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (changing of students, keeping classroom clean).
• Maintain positive staff and parent interactions and communication.
• Attend required trainings, meetings and events.
• Ensure administration is informed of all parent and individual student concerns and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
