Sussex Family YMCA is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher (Part-Time) at the Sussex YMCA Family Location in Rehoboth Beach, DE. You will supervise children, support daily care, and help implement age-appropriate activities within a safe environment.

The role requires CDA or TECE I & II with willingness to pursue the CDA pathway, a high school diploma or equivalent and related experience. Benefits include dental, vision, health insurance, PTO, retirement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have CDA or TECE I & II and be willing to actively pursue the CDA pathway.
• Age 18+ and meeting licensing requirements for Early Childhood education.
• A high school diploma and six months of experience with children birth through second grade.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children, classroom and activities with safe, developmentally appropriate practices.
• Provide daily child care including diapering, toileting, feeding and social-emotional support.
• Encourage engagement across all activities including instructional times and meals.
• Assist in planning and participating in age-appropriate activities to support learning.
• Observe children and document progress and development.
