Job summary

The Learning Experience – Jenison in Jenison, MI is seeking a caring Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support infants through preschool. You will help implement engaging activities and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports children's development.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous childcare or preschool experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with daily classroom routines and activities.
• Assist with learning centers, group activities, and classroom transitions.
• Help create a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Support meal, rest time, and classroom preparation routines.
• Provide classroom coverage as needed throughout the center.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Follow all Michigan childcare licensing and safety requirements.
