The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms. This role involves working with experienced Lead Teachers to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, meals, diapering, transitions, and outdoor play, while helping children develop social, language, and cognitive skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare experience preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and learning activities
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
• Encourage children’s social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through hands‑on activities
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Follow all Michigan childcare licensing regulations and center policies
