Southwest Oklahoma Community Action Group, Inc. is seeking a Birth to Five Schools Assistant Teacher in Hollis, OK to support the Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, meal service, documentation, and classroom activities for children aged 3–5.

The role entails bus monitoring, assisting with screenings and IEPs, and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment in a Head Start setting. Requires a high school diploma or GED, OK Registry status within 6 months, and First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; CDA or higher education is a plus.
OK Registry enrollment within 6 months is required.
Oklahoma driver’s license required with acceptable MV risk and insurance.
First Aid/AED/Pediatric CPR certification required.
Criminal background checks including fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and center activities, promoting social, emotional, and academic development.
Interact directly with children and participate in daily activities.
Promote parent involvement and recruit volunteers; document in-kind time and donations.
Assist with medical/dental and mental health screenings and IEP development.
Serve as a bus monitor; count children and conduct bus safety checks.
Clean classrooms, bathrooms, bedding and toys; follow licensing guidelines.
Complete paperwork and reports; support data entry as assigned.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
