Job summary

Child Development Schools Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Oklahoma City, OK to support the Lead Teacher with engaging, age-appropriate activities. You will help maintain a safe, organized classroom, assist with daily routines, and interact with children during meals, transitions, and outdoor time.

You will observe children’s development and share notes with the Lead Teacher, while building strong relationships with families through regular communication and helping with attendance

  • Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
  • Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
  • Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

Assistant Teacher -- [Oklahoma City, OK]

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands‑on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

What your day looks like:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
  • Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
  • Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
  • Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
  • Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports
Pay and benefits

Pay: $11-$14 per hour, based on experience and education.
