You will work under supervision, pursue ECE coursework within 90 days, and complete several ECE units within six months while gaining hands-on experience to advance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) within timeframe.
• Enrollment in ECE coursework within 90 days of hire.
• Complete six ECE units within six months to be eligible for an assistant permit.
• Continue coursework toward a Teacher Permit (24 ECE units).
• Progress toward permit requirements is required for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist educators in implementing Head Start/Education standards-aligned curriculum.
• Support a safe, engaging learning environment for young children.
• Provide additional help to children with disabilities or developmental needs.
• Care for assigned children and support developmental, social, and emotional growth.
• Help with classroom organization, supervision, and sanitation activities.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship programs.
• Collaborate with staff to engage families and communicate effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
