Easterseals Southern California invites applications for the Aide, Early Childhood (EC). This entry‑level role supports classroom teaching teams and helps deliver developmentally appropriate care and education to young children in Head Start settings.

You will pursue California ECE coursework toward a Child Development Assistant Teacher Permit and build toward a Teacher Permit. A path with structured milestones and classroom mentorship is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Enroll in Early Childhood Education coursework within 90 days of hire.
• Complete minimum 6 ECE units within 6 months of hire.
• Continue coursework toward a Teacher Permit (24 ECE units) as per plan.

Responsibilities

• Assist Early Childhood Educators in implementing curriculum per Head Start standards.
• Maintain safe, engaging learning environment for children.
• Support children with disabilities or developmental needs.
• Assist with classroom organization, supervision and sanitation.
