Job summary

SEK-CAP, Inc. is seeking a Teacher Aide to support early childhood classrooms, assist with curriculum implementation, and ensure safe daily routines for infants and toddlers in a Head Start environment.

You will collaborate with teaching staff to foster language development, social-emotional growth, and inclusive learning experiences, while modeling patience, adaptability, and strong communication with families in a busy, in-person setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or enrolled in Early Childhood Education program.
• KDHE program approval eligibility.
• Infant/Toddler CDA credential or ability to obtain within one year.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Pass standard criminal history check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance underwriter guidelines.
• Physical exam and TB skin test prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with children to support language development and growth.
• Maintain active supervision of children in indoor/outdoor spaces.
• Guide mealtime routines and family-style meals.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Document observations in the data system.
• Support curriculum and social-emotional strategies.
• Communicate effectively with families and staff.
