Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Schoenbaum Family Center is seeking a School Aide to assist in supervising children and supporting daily and long‑term classroom planning with teachers and administrators. You will help implement programming, routines, and smooth operation of an early childhood classroom.

Hours are typically 8:00–5:00 or 8:30–5:30 with a 1‑hour break; this temporary role offers 40 hours per week with a potential extension to a full-time position. Target hourly wage is $15–$16.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience teaching infant, toddler, or preschool age children.
• Must complete and maintain required certifications (first aid, communicable disease, infant/child CPR, child abuse recognition) and any ODJFS/ODE mandated training.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervising children and planning classroom activities with Teachers and Administrators.
• Support implementation and evaluation of classroom programming and routines.
• Perform operation tasks and administrative paperwork, and coordinate with parents to address classroom issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
