Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking an Associate Talent Acquisition Partner for Early Careers in Tempe, AZ. You will partner with hiring managers to attract interns and new graduates, coordinate campus events, and guide candidates through the recruiting process.

Reporting to the Head of Early Careers, you will apply playbooks, build pipelines, and deliver a compelling internship experience that can lead to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Exposure to campus recruiting, internship programs, or high-volume interview events is a strong plus.
• Industry experience in engineering, construction, or the skilled trades is a plus but not required.
• Authentic interest in developing early-career talent.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage concurrent timelines, events, and logistics.
• Strong communicator who is credible with senior leaders and students.
• Self-directed and able to work within enterprise structure.
• Proficiency with ATS and CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and virtual event tools.
• Ability to travel to campuses, jobsites, and division offices during peak recruiting seasons.

Responsibilities

• Lead the recruiting process for intern, co-op, and new college graduate roles across divisions.
• Sustain pipeline continuity year-round and engage candidates between touchpoints.
• Maintain requisitions, candidate records, and pipeline activity.
• Deliver a candidate experience that reflects Southland's culture.
• Advise hiring managers on interviewing early talent and internships.
• Coordinate campus recruiting plans with enterprise team and division stakeholders.
• Keep stakeholders informed on pipeline health and outcomes.
• Plan and execute campus events, career fairs, and info sessions.
• Shape intern experiences with projects, mentors, onboarding.
• Track metrics like pipeline activity and ROI.
