Job Description

Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As an Early Career Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with opportunities for trials, arbitrations, and mediations. You'll also provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams, staying ahead of new laws and regulations to keep our strategies sharp. Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes.
  2. Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, preparing for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  3. Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
  4. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  5. Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries of statements, and maintain communication records.
  6. Attend court hearings, depositions, and legal proceedings to observe, assist, and possibly represent the company or clients in routine matters.
  7. Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts.
  8. Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to complex legal work.
Education
  • Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
  • Successful completion of courses in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Strong time management skills for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to organize case files, manage legal documents, and understand the discovery process.
  • Effective communication with clients, and record-keeping of interactions.
  • Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards.
  • Negotiation skills for client interactions and settlement discussions.
  • Must be within commuting distance to courthouses in the greater Atlanta Metroplex.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $66,800 to $120,650, based on experience and qualifications. A background check is required for employment.
