As an Early Career Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with exciting trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, preparing for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Interview clients and witnesses; draft summaries of statements and maintain communication records.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and other proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts.
- Participate in training and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to complex legal work.
Education
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
- Successful completion of courses in legal research, writing, and analysis.
- Strong time management skills for balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to organize case files and understand the discovery process.
- Effective communication with clients and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of legal ethics and professional conduct standards.
- Negotiation skills for client interactions and settlements.
- Must be within commuting distance to courthouses in the greater Atlanta Metroplex.

Skills & Compensation
