Job summary

Halff is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer in Fort Worth, TX to design transportation projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. You will perform schematic design, calculations, and assist with permit applications.

You must have an ABET-accredited degree (or higher) and the ability to obtain an EIT within a year, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. This on-site role offers growth in a multi-discipline team at Halff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Ability to obtain an EIT certificate within one year.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 0–3 years of experience in transportation design for roadway/highway projects.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Perform schematic design and calculations for project designs.
• Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with surveyors and contractors and attend client/regulatory meetings.
