Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, WA seeks an Early Career Software Engineer to join the SEA team and contribute to scalable systems for processing multi-modal intelligence data. You will work with experienced engineers to design, build, and deploy production‑quality software in a fast‑paced environment.

Hands‑on experience with Python is essential; familiarity with Go, Rust, C#, C++, clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP), Git/CI/CD, SQL, and SI tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer science or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and delivering software using Python.
• Experience with Go, Rust, C#/.NET, or C++.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Linux.
• Understanding of Git, CI/CD, and Agile software practices.
• Experience with SQL and data modeling or data pipelines.
• Familiarity with SI coding tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Copilot.
