Job summary
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design and build scalable AI platforms and cloud-native infrastructure. You will lead data pipelines, real-time data processing, and large-scale ML deployment while mentoring engineers and shaping the future of our AI capabilities.
Based in WA with onsite presence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in national security research, applying distributed systems expertise and strong production
Qualifications
- PhD and 1 year of Software Engineering experience -OR-
- MS/MA and 3 years of Software Engineering experience -OR-
- BS/BA and 5 years of Software Engineering experience -OR
- HS/GED and 16 years of Software Engineering experience in designing, architecting, programming, deploying, and automating software solutions in support of scientific research or consumer digital product development.
Responsibilities
- Join PNNL's AI engineering team and help architect scalable AI platforms and data pipelines.
- Design and build cloud-native infrastructure and large-scale data orchestration capabilities.
- Lead architectural discussions and drive code reviews and best practices across the team.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to the future of our AI infrastructure and production software engineering.
