WSP is seeking a Full-Time Early Career P&C Field Engineer for the Hallowell, ME office. Join the Power and Energy team to assist in due diligence, investigation, remediation, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility-scale projects.

Responsibilities include collecting data, preparing substation layouts, and performing basic engineering under supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and compliance with IEEE/NERC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0 to 1 year of post-education experience.
• Familiar with electrical design principles for large capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to substation components and procurement packages.
• Prepare basic electrical engineering designs: single line, wiring diagrams, and substation layouts.
• Develop calculations for loads, equipment sizing, and grounding under supervision.
• Produce accurate documentation using electronic systems and field notes.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, codes, and project procedures.
• Support design reviews and supplier specifications for procurement packages.
• Engage in training and perform additional duties as needed.
