Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical preferred) or related field.
• Master's or PhD in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice.
• Excellent writing and communication skills (required).
• Field work and overnight travel (required).
• Health & Safety training and client-driven background checks (required).
• Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for travel (required).
• Internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field investigations and site characterizations.
• Conduct fieldwork with instrumentation and monitoring projects.
• Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
• Performing and reviewing engineering calculations.
• Developing construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Writing and reviewing technical reports, letters, memoranda, and proposals.
• Monitoring heavy civil construction projects.
• Travel to client or project sites as needed.
