Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Geoenvironmental/Geotechnical Engineer for our Florida offices in Tampa, Orlando, or Pensacola.

The role involves applying academic knowledge to real-world projects on landfills, site characterization, geotechnical instrumentation, and stability analysis. The candidate will work across disciplines, performing calculations, preparing construction documents, and supporting permitting for solid waste facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in environmental industry performing technical or field work (required).
• Internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred).
• Experience with geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, HELP, WaterGEMS, and Slide2 (preferred).
• Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug/background testing (required).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).

Education and Licensure

• At least 2 years in the environmental industry performing technical or field work; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting. (preferred)
• Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, HELP, WaterGEMS, and Slide2. (preferred)
• Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
