Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking early career engineers to contribute to applied fluid and mechanical engineering projects, including design, analysis, and testing of propulsion and fluid systems. You will work with teams across materials integration, manufacturing, and systems engineering to meet business objectives.

Ideal candidates have recently earned a BS in relevant engineering fields and can start by Fall 2026, with a mindset for safety, inclusion, and rapid development within a collaborative

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or other relevant engineering field.
  • Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2026.
  • Strong fundamentals in propulsion, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and structural analysis.
  • Relevant internship/co-op and/or hands-on experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.
  • Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Your projects may include many aspects of applied fluid / mechanical engineering including design, analysis and test of fluid components and systems, propulsion systems and mechanical systems.
  • The projects will include the integration of materials and processes, manufacturing, systems test, operations, and systems engineering.
  • Specific duties are subject to our business unit objectives.

Education

BS degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or other relevant engineering field
