Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer to join our Houston, TX or Dallas, TX teams.

You will assist with data collection, substation design, and project documentation, contributing to feasibility, design, and construction activities for utility, industrial, and commercial projects. Under supervision, you will perform basic electrical calculations, support with drawings, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection and analysis for substation components and equipment specifications.
Support design work including single line and three-line diagrams, grounding, and protection schemes under supervision.
Perform basic engineering tasks: equipment sizing, wiring, conduit/trenching design strategies.
Verify site characteristics and provide basic technical assistance on design, testing, maintenance and construction procedures.
Develop electrical calculations for loads, feeder sizing, voltage drop, and lighting circuits under supervision.
Create concise documentation using drawings and field logs.
Adhere to safety guidelines and project procedures.
Complete assigned training tasks.
Travel may be required based on project needs.
