Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Early Career Computer Scientist for the Perceptive Systems group, onsite. The role covers data science, ML/AI, image processing, and software development across missions for national security and technology innovation.

You will apply state‑of‑the‑art techniques, collaborate with customers to understand data and requirements, and contribute to research, publications and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field and ability to perform independent R&D.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance.
• Graduate degree with independent research requirement is preferred.
• Experience with Python, C++, Java, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Linux.
• Strong communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art techniques to solve data analysis problems for diverse customers.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and data.
• Publish and present research and proposals via LDRD processes.
• Contribute to software development and data processing systems.
