Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a motivated R&D Data Science professional to work on teams addressing critical national security challenges in information science, AI/ML, and data analytics. You will enhance security and performance of SI systems, develop benchmarks, and contribute to open- and closed-source research while collaborating across disciplines.

You will evaluate threats, develop SI security applications, and apply advanced techniques to complex data on national security systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with five years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance including polygraph if required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct performance benchmarking of AI/SI software or hardware components.
• Evaluate security or reliability of an SI system.
• Create a local test environment for an SI system and run it in the test harness.
• Conduct open- and closed-source analysis/research on an SI system and draft a report.
• Develop research proposals for SI security.
• Conduct SI security research.
• Develop SI security applications and tools to analyze and monitor security and reliability of deployed SI.
• Address threats for diverse customers using advanced data science tools and techniques.
• Apply state-of-the-art SI/ML techniques to diverse data sets on national security systems.
