Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join the Mine Waste team in Madison, WI. You will contribute to challenging mining and geotechnical projects and gain exposure to international field assignments.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in civil/geotechnical engineering, with FE exam progress or completion within 6 months. Travel and cross‑functional collaboration are integral to the role in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Requires a civil/geotechnical engineering background and FE exam or within 6 months of start date.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for reporting and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; able to work in remote settings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work within the mine waste team on civil/geotechnical projects for mining.
• Assist with geotechnical field investigations, site characterization, and facility design.
• Prepare portions of technical reports documenting investigations and analyses.
• Contribute to design packages including drawings, specs, schedules, and estimates.
