Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join the Mine Waste team in Madison, WI, with consideration for Lakewood, CO. You will work on mining, heavy civil, and geotechnical projects as part of a regional team, performing fieldwork, design, and reporting.

The role requires a Civil/Geotechnical degree, FE exam (or within 6 months), strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering is required.
• FE exam completed or achievable within 6 months of start date.
• Strong analytical skills for calculations and analyses.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to civil and geotechnical projects for mining and related industries.
• Perform field investigations, site characterization, and design analyses.
• Prepare technical reports documenting investigations and designs.
• Assist with drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Engage in domestic and international field assignments and cross-functional teamwork.
