Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Early-Career Air Quality Engineer to join our Richmond, VA office.

You will apply your education to real-world environmental projects, performing air quality permitting, modeling, and compliance tasks while developing business skills in a consulting environment. You will work on inventories, permit applications, regulatory analyses, and modeling, with opportunities for fieldwork and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience.
Experience with air quality modeling (SCREEN3, AERSCREEN, and AERMOD).
Strong spreadsheet and database skills.
Experience with air quality permitting in Texas (required) and Louisiana (preferred).
Experience in environmental compliance services (stormwater, spill planning, hazardous waste) is a plus.
Valid U.S. driver''s license and a good driving record for travel.

Responsibilities

Prepare air emissions inventories and environmental compliance reports.
Prepare emissions calculations and air permit applications.
Conduct regulatory analyses related to federal, state, and local air regulations (CAA, NESHAP, NSPS).
Conduct air dispersion modeling analyses.
Support environmental permitting and compliance services in related disciplines.
Fieldwork up to 20%, overnight travel up to 20%.
