Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. invites applications for an Intern/Co-Op in Civil/Environmental Engineering in our Richmond, Virginia office. You’ll apply coursework to real-world projects in site development, grading, stormwater, and hydrologic analyses while gaining consulting experience.

The 13–15 week program runs during the spring/summer 2027. Willingness to return for additional rotations is preferred; transportation to the office is responsibility of the candidate.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a civil/environmental engineering degree (required).
• Strong academic credentials and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with CAD, GIS and hydrology tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based tools.
• Develop construction documents (plans) and technical writing of reports and proposals.
• Data input and analysis including site plans, GIS mapping, tables, and figures.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, CAD staff, and contractors; some fieldwork possible.
• Travel to project sites as needed for data collection and oversight.
