Eaglecrest Ski Area - Alaska's Best Kept Secret is Hiring!
We are looking for positive enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders that are willing to be out on the mountain in all weather conditions teaching skills to all levels of skiers and snowboarders. They are responsible for our guests having a great experience and wanting to return for more. They should enjoy talking with people of all ages and demographics and be able to communicate in a friendly and welcoming manner.
The Certified Instructor positions will have the opportunity continue growing their skills through the department's ongoing skills clinics and mentoring lower-level instructors. They will be given ample opportunity to explore the mountain and will meet many amazing community members through your lessons.
They will be working at Eaglecrest Ski Area Wednesday through Sundays and during holiday periods. Work times vary depending on lesson demand and will be at the direction of the Snowsports School Director.
The Instructor Level I position is our journey level instructor position which requires Level I PSIA/AASI Certification or foreign equivalency. The position independently teaches up to 6 guests on the lower mountain only for children and beginners.
All levels of instructors will be expected to maintain accurate class records to include student skill level, program or lesson taught and notes on student’s development and learning progress. They will be expected to fill out accurate incident/accident reports when they occur in a timely manner. Must fill out timesheets to correctly reflect number of students, time, and class. All Instructors will be required to participate in department cross over training for mountain safety.
Demonstrate proficiency as an advanced/expert skier or snowboarder regardless of conditions.

mployment is contingent upon passing an Eaglecrest ski instructor evaluation.
Candidate must be able to work outside in severe weather conditions.
