Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 1 year experience in heavy manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements as a priority.
• Operate overhead crane remotely and forklift safely.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Assist 1st Helper and 2nd Helper with furnace operations.
• Support other departments to improve profitability and CI efforts.
• Assist with maintenance repairs.
• Ensure EAF has supply of stick to operate during shift.
• Support understanding of functions of the EAF.
