Northwell Health is seeking an Emergency Department Assistant to assist the ED team with quality patient care under RN supervision. You will help prepare the clinical area, assist patients into gowns, monitor equipment and support the care team throughout rounds and procedures.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years in ED with MA or EMT certification, or 5+ years ED experience; CPR/BLS certification required; phlebotomy and EKG training preferred.

Assists the Emergency Department team by providing quality patient care, working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse.
HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
Required: At least 2 years on-the-job experience and holds either a Medcial Assistant or EMT certification, or over 5 years on-the-job experience in the Emergency Department. Must maintain skills necessary such as Basic Life Support (BLS), and keep competencies current.
Minimum Experience: three years
Desired: Phlebotomy and EKG training. Direct patient care skills.
