Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to execute high-volume email campaigns (2-3 million contacts per month) and manage complex segmentations. You will design content, coordinate deliveries across channels, and monitor performance with analytics tools to maximize sales and online revenue.

The role requires advanced HTML/CSS skills, Adobe Creative Suite experience, and strong collaboration and project management. A marketing degree and data privacy knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

**Position Summary:**This position is responsible for the execution of recurring and ah-hoc e-mail campaigns for the Momentum database. This position handles high levels of segmentations and high-volume campaigns with 2-3 million contacts a month. Collaborates with internal and external campaigns in a timely and accurate manner. Provides input and executes an e-mail marketing strategy with the goal of maximizing sales, enrollments and revenue through the on-line channel. Develops and executes reports to measure the effectiveness of e-mail campaigns while maintaining compliance with all international data privacy and email communication laws and regulations.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities****:** includes but not limited to:* Designs email content to increase guest engagement and increase responses towards marketing offers* Builds and executes email marketing communications in collaboration with internal teams* Actively works to coordinate email deliveries with offer deployment to other channels* Monitors and reports on email campaign effectiveness using Google Analytics and Campaign Management software* Contributes to the overall marketing strategy in regards to best email communication practices* Designs, updates and maintains email templates* Adheres to Mohegan Sun brand standards* Coordinates the review, approval, and distributes information about email campaigns to key team members* Maintains standard operating procedures and department best practices documentation* Ensures compliance with all internal and external regulations surrounding data privacy and email communications including, but not limited to, CAN-SPAM**Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:*** Ensures campaigns and other duties assigned are accurately maintained and processed* Participates in department wide brainstorming activities on a variety of topics, including new promotions.* Works with internal and external teams to ensure e-mail campaigns are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner* Monitors e-mail marketing trends and best practices to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of campaign results* Adheres to Mohegan Sun brand standards when creating an e-mail marketing campaign**Minimum Education and Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field* Experience with Adobe creative suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro* Knowledge of campaign management systems* Strong collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills* Excellent organizational, detailed oriented, and multi-tasking skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook* In lieu of degree and previously mentioned experience, four years of experience in an email specialist or similar position with a focus on HTML and graphic design may be considered* Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS* Demonstrated knowledge of form-based methods for list acquisition and its implementation in a PHP web environment* Basic knowledge of re regulations surrounding data privacy and email communications including, but not limited to, CAN-SPAM* Ability to learn to adapt to new Internet and authoring technologies relevant for e-mail design and development**Competencies:** Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:* Strong computer skills* Understanding of web analytics as they relate to content delivery* Ability to use web analytics tools to analyze and make recommendations regarding e-mail marketing campaigns**Training Requirements:*** Knowledge of e-mail deliverability standards* Mohegan Sun corporate and departmental policies and procedures* Mohegan Sun Advertising/brand standards **Physical Demands and Work Environment:*** Office work environment* Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time* Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hoursThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
