Job summary

GAF is building a new shingle manufacturing facility in Newton, KS, and is seeking an E&I Technician I to support maintenance and basic troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems. Under supervision, you will assist Level II technicians, perform routine calibrations, and help ensure safe plant operations.

You will document work in the CMMS, participate in safety initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement during startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Required H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform routine troubleshooting and repair of basic plant electrical and control systems.
• Assist Level II technicians in installation and calibration of instrumentation.
• Document all work in the CMMS with accurate labor, parts and findings.
• Travel up to 50% during startup and commissioning phases.
