Overview

The Marathon Pipe Line Buckeye Area operates and maintains more than 700 miles of liquids pipeline, two tank farms, multiple pipeline stations, and a light product terminal. This position is for an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician located in Heath, OH, supporting the MPL Buckeye Area. The role involves working in and around petroleum products and crude oil facilities, executing electrical, controls, and instrumentation duties at multiple facilities to support 24/7/365 pipeline operations. It also provides field support to other Marathon Pipe Line LLC processes and departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform work safely and environmentally responsibly, complying with all Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory requirements.
• Provide E & I support for assets such as pipelines, remote facilities, and pump stations.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and calibrate instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Configure and program industrial control systems, perform testing, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Respond to alarms, communicate findings, and generate work requests for maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Previous electrical or instrumentation experience required.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills required.
• Pipeline electrical and instrumentation experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass background checks; position is DOT-regulated.

Additional Information
