Job summary
Chemours Corpus Christi facility in Ingleside, TX seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Reliability Engineer to safeguard long‑term performance, safety, and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems in a manufacturing setting.
The role requires deep electrical engineering knowledge, hands-on field experience, and a proactive reliability mindset, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, and Technology teams to drive continuous improvements and safe operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years in electrical/instrumentation/reliability engineering in manufacturing.
- Experience with LV/MV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, relays, cables.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Support safe, reliable operation of electrical distribution systems, including LV/MV, MCCs, switchgear, relays, cables.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, hazardous location requirements, and site safety practices.
- Participate in MOCs, PHAs, equipment evaluations, and compliance reviews for PSM processes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Technology to troubleshoot failures and recommend solutions.
- Lead or support RCA, kaizen events, and problem-solving to prevent recurrence.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
