Job summary

EGS is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support a chemical manufacturing facility. The role focuses on electrical and instrumentation systems, Modicon PLCs, and capital project delivery within strict safety and budget constraints.

The engineer will lead cross-functional teams, interpret drawings and loop diagrams, and ensure reliable commissioning and startup. A strong background in industrial electronics and process controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of project engineering experience in chemical/process plants.
• Experience with industrial control systems and Modicon PLCs.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital and maintenance projects in a chemical facility.
• Read electrical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Design, implement, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot Modicon PLC-based control systems and assist commissioning.
