Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is hiring an experienced E&I Foreman to lead an electrical and instrumentation crew on a major data center project in West Texas. You will translate daily work plans into safe, productive field execution and coordinate with other trades to ensure quality and schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on E&I installation knowledge, and the ability to read diagrams and plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electrical or instrumentation construction required.
• Experience as foreman/lead on field teams preferred.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, schematics, and installation details.
• Strong planning, labor estimating, and scheduling abilities.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, OSHA, lockout/tagout and safe-work practices.

Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Work on a Major Data Center Project

We are hiring an experienced E&I Foreman to lead an electrical and instrumentation crew on a large-scale data center project in West Texas.

This position converts daily work plans into safe and productive field execution. The E&I Foreman assigns tasks, verifies workmanship, tracks labor and materials, coordinates with other trades, and prepares assigned systems for inspection, testing, commissioning, and turnover.

What You Will Do

• Lead an assigned E&I crew, system, building area, or work package
• Review drawings, specifications, work packages, and installation details
• Identify missing information, design conflicts, and field issues before they affect production
• Conduct daily pre-task planning and assign work based on crew skill levels
• Supervise the installation of conduit, cable tray, conductors, grounding, lighting, panels, switchgear, transformers, equipment connections, controls, and instrumentation
• Ensure installations meet the National Electrical Code, project drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and quality standards
• Track crew hours, installed quantities, materials, tools, inspections, punch-list items, and completion status
• Coordinate inspections, testing, terminations, equipment startup support, energization readiness, commissioning activities, and turnover documentation
• Control material use, protect installed work, maintain clean work areas, and prevent damage or rework
• Coach electricians, instrumentation technicians, apprentices, and helpers
• Correct unsafe behavior, poor workmanship, and production concerns
• Coordinate daily work with other trades and elevate issues that may affect safety, quality, or schedule
• Provide accurate progress updates to the E&I General Foreman or Superintendent

What You Bring

• At least 7 years of electrical or instrumentation construction experience
• Previous experience as a foreman, lead person, crew lead, or similar field leader
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation methods, tools, testing practices, and safe-work requirements
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, plans, specifications, cable schedules, and installation details
• Ability to plan daily work, assign labor, estimate material needs, track production, and meet schedule commitments
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout, and electrical safe-work practices
• Strong communication, documentation, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and changing project schedules
• Ability to work outdoors in West Texas conditions and access active construction areas
• Ability to pass project-required screening and meet site access requirements
• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor facilities, power generation, or industrial projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience with switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, grounding, controls, terminations, testing, and commissioning support is also preferred.
