Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation Foreman to lead data center electrical teams in Houston. You will supervise I&E technicians and coordinate installs, calibrations, and commissioning of instrumentation and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial E&I maintenance, 2 years in a supervisory role, and a clean safety and regulatory record. Strong leadership, reading diagrams, and SAP familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
• SAP background required.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical or instrumentation maintenance.
• 2 years in a supervisory E and I role.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and safety procedures.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of I&E technicians, including work assignments, scheduling, and job prioritization.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment, including motors, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
• Perform routine calibration and testing of instruments such as flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, and level devices.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals to diagnose system faults.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, electrical codes, and regulatory standards.
• Use test equipment to analyze and troubleshoot faults.
• Support the commissioning and start-up of new instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to plan and execute work orders and projects safely and efficiently.

Join a high-profile data center construction project where you’ll lead electrical and instrumentation crews installing the critical systems that power today’s digital infrastructure.

As an E&I Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems. This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively lead, motivate, and develop I&E technicians while ensuring safety, reliability, and compliant operation of plant equipment.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical or instrumentation maintenance (chemical, petrochemical, refining, data center environments preferred).
• 2 years in a supervisory E and I role.
• Working knowledge of industrial control systems, wiring practices, and troubleshooting methods.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or state-issued ID.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical documents, and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical examination.
