E&I Estimator for Data Center & Industrial Projects

Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumental Estimator to support a growing portfolio of data center and industrial projects. This role focuses on preparing accurate, detailed estimates for E&I scopes and coordinating with internal teams throughout bids.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, using Accubid for pricing, estimating labor, materials, and equipment, and identifying scope gaps and risks.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical, instrumentation, or E&I estimating experience.
• Experience with Accubid estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret industrial drawings.
• Experience estimating electrical and instrumentation work in industrial or data center environments.
• Strong understanding of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs associated with E&I projects.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complete estimates within required timeframes.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work 100% in-office

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and competitive estimates for electrical and instrumentation scopes on data center and industrial projects.
• Develop estimates for projects ranging from approximately $100,000 to $55 million.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, instrumentation drawings, specifications, and other industrial construction documents.
• Use Accubid to develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Estimate medium-voltage electrical work and associated E&I systems.
• Support estimates involving compressors, pump stations, and related industrial infrastructure.
• Evaluate project scope, quantities, specifications, and technical requirements to produce complete and accurate estimates.
• Identify potential scope gaps, project risks, and cost considerations during the estimating process.
• Solicit, review, and incorporate vendor and subcontractor pricing as required.
• Maintain an estimating schedule with a general expectation of completing one estimate per week.
• Work closely with internal project, operations, and leadership teams throughout the bid process.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation, assumptions, clarifications, and supporting information.
