The role includes hardware design, PCB layouts, system verification, root cause analysis, and supporting software for the controller’s microprocessor, with emphasis on EMI reduction and robust automotive electronics.

Qualifications

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of electrical/electronics design experience.
3+ years hands-on with Cadence, Matlab, Spice, Saber or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop requirements for electric drive system controllers.
Design and validate inverter controller and gate drive board circuits, schematics, and layouts.
Develop verification methods; conduct testing and troubleshooting.
Test gate drive circuits and optimize for EMI, fault tolerance and diagnostics.
Perform root cause analysis for field issues and support software for the controller's microprocessor.
Support Hardware-in-the-Loop, High Voltage Lab, Motor Dyno, Vehicle and EMC testing.
Present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
