Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Marketing Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading an e-Commerce function, with strong understanding of EDI systems, as well as practical knowledge of SEO/GEO, SEM, CRO best practices.
  • Expert-level experience with GA4 and Amplitude required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the e-Commerce vision, strategy and execution based on market research, customer feedback, and business objectives.
  • Responsible for increasing online revenue and driving traffic to NCS’s eStore.
  • Collaborate with Sales, IT and Marketing to develop the digital roadmap outlining future features, functions, and release plans, and ensure its ongoing execution. Examples include, but are not limited to, promotional tools, loyalty programs, and web agents.
  • Lead the digital customer experience development process from concept to launch, including planning, development, testing, and internal and external release.
  • Communicate digital progress updates, milestones, and the roadmap to internal stakeholders and external customers on a continuous and consistent basis.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure digital performance.
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation, or best-in-class alternatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing/Creative, Supplier Management and Finance teams to develop and execute a comprehensive e-Commerce promotional calendar.
  • Support the execution of e‑mail marketing initiatives, ensuring e‑mail campaigns are integrated with onsite landing pages and promotional cycles.
  • Develop robust Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies that include Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to ensure brand visibility within AI-driven search results and LLMs.
  • Act as the internal lead for Google Analytics 4 and Amplitude, working in close partnership with the IT Product Manager to monitor KPIs and extract insights that can be translated into actionable site optimizations.
  • Gather customer feedback and utilize heatmaps and session recordings to identify pain points in the checkout funnel and work with the IT team to implement data‑backed solutions focused on providing a frictionless digital customer experience.
  • Stand up SEM efforts, including clearly defining the strategy and key objectives, managing the third‑party agency budget/relationship and continuously reviewing KPIs.
  • Quarterback the deployment of NCS’s PunchOut offering to large corporate accounts.
  • Provide digital training and support to internal teams and customers (as needed).

Job description

NCS supports car wash operators who wash millions of vehicles every year. As a leading full-service fluids and systems provider to the vehicle care industry, NCS has served customers in North America for more than 50 years. The company provides comprehensive systems and aftermarket support, including service, parts, and environmentally friendly cleaning fluids.

Job Summary

As the Sr. Manager of e-Commerce, you will be responsible for driving all elements of NCS’s e-Commerce experience by owning the end-to-end development and implementation of the multi-year roadmap that aims to deliver rapid user and revenue growth.

You will be the first fully dedicated business leader to the e-Commerce channel within NCS, with a clear mandate to develop the leading B2B e-Commerce experience in the car wash space. You are keen on rolling up your sleeves and leaving your mark by building a best in-class web store (i.e., highly reliable, informative and accurate; easy and fast to transact in) and setting up a high-performing evergreen development model that leverages existing resources (both internal and outsourced) and compliments it with future hires and outside partners.

You will be required to deliver a rapid and constant cadence of feature releases, prioritizing those with the highest impact on user and revenue growth, overall user experience (e.g., solving customer pain points and sources of dissatisfaction) and competitive differentiation. Furthermore, you will also be expected to be capable of coordinating the launch and ongoing monitoring of NCS’s CRO, SEO/GEO and SEM efforts.

Successful candidates are seasoned leaders in the B2B e-Commerce space, with a track-record of driving and measuring results, as well as developing teams. They are adept at working in a matrixed environment, primarily by partnering with IT and Marketing to develop and effectively promote NCS’s eStore, and understand how best to balance internal and contractor resources to drive desired outcomes. They also command a strong understanding of code development best practices and are versed in all elements of modern B2B e-Commerce (e.g., UI & PDP Best Practices, Promotional Codes, Loyalty Programs, Freight Charges, PunchOut, Web Agents).
