Job summary

Adorama Camera, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Associate in Chattanooga to unload and inspect inbound shipments, document packing lists, and integrate items into inventory. The role supports timely order fulfillment within a fast-paced e-commerce warehouse environment.

You will verify shipments, maintain dock organization, and collaborate with Inventory Control and QA teams while adhering to safety procedures. Weekend/overtime may be required during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use handheld scanners or WMS software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments from delivery trucks using manual or powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, or purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming products for damage, defects, or shortages and report discrepancies.
• Label and sort items for storage or cross-docking to other departments.
• Update receiving records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory software.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving dock and staging areas.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams as needed.
• Adhere to warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed (putaway, picking, packing, cycle counts).
