Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Ohio seeks an order picker to assemble online orders with an emphasis on freshness and quality. You will handle order processing, coupon and payment handling, and loading orders into customers' cars at pickup, while delivering a positive shopping experience aligned with our core values.

• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to read shelf tags and pricing details.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Initiate and complete selection process for customers’ online orders.
• Read and follow directions in note sections on orders.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items selected.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional manner.
• Load orders into customers' cars and process payments at POS where applicable.
• Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions if items are out of stock.
• Scan and bag orders while maintaining bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions at pickup.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and learn/improve processes.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards and work well in fast-paced environments.
• Manage conflicts calmly and with integrity.
