Job description

Art of Tea is looking for a hands-on E-Commerce Operations Coordinator to own the accurate and timely execution of our Shopify store.

You will publish and maintain product, collection, landing-page, and blog content; execute approved merchandising, SEO, and answer engine optimization updates; support product launches and promotions; and use AI tools to make repetitive content and quality-assurance work faster without sacrificing accuracy or brand standards.

This is an execution and quality-control role. You will translate approved marketing, creative, and SEO briefs into live, tested, and documented website updates. You are not expected to set the company’s SEO GEO strategy or support custom theme code. You are expected to execute accurately, identify problems early, and ensure work reaches the site correctly.

What You’ll Own
Shopify and Website Operations
  • Manage day-to-day Shopify updates across product pages, collections, navigation, landing pages, and the homepage.
  • Create and update products, variants, descriptions, ingredients, images, pricing, promotional messaging, and other approved product information.
  • Build and merchandise collections based on seasonal campaigns, customer needs, inventory availability, and marketing priorities.
  • Execute approved promotions, bundles, product launches, and website campaigns.
  • Validate Shopify product and inventory information against approved source data and elevate discrepancies.
  • Make approved updates through Shopify’s theme editor and coordinate more technical changes with developers or outside partners.
  • Monitor the site for broken links, checkout problems, outdated content, app conflicts, and other customer-experience issues.
SEO AEO and AI Assisted Content Operations
  • Publish approved SEO and AEO updates across product pages, collections, landing pages, and blog content.
  • Update page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image alt text, URLs, FAQs, comparison tables, product copy, and internal links.
  • Format content so it is easy for customers, search engines, and AI answer platforms to understand.
  • Execute briefs provided by the Brand and Growth Strategy Lead or outside SEO partners and document when work has been completed.
  • Maintain redirects, internal links, content-change logs, and SEO launch checklists.
  • Use Google Search Console to check whether updated pages are indexed and identify broken links, redirect errors, or other post-publish issues.
  • Use GA4 and approved reporting tools to flag unusual changes in site traffic, engagement, or conversion.
  • Support structured-data updates through approved Shopify settings, apps, or developer tickets and verify that changes are working properly.
  • Maintain a weekly tracker of published content, indexation issues, website errors, and open SEO or AEO tasks.
AI Enabled Execution
  • Use approved AI tools to accelerate metadata, image alt text, FAQs, product-data cleanup, content refreshes, and routine quality assurance.
  • Review every AI-assisted output for accuracy, usefulness, and alignment with the Art of Tea brand.
  • Fact-check ingredients, brewing instructions, product claims, pricing, availability, and other customer-facing information before anything is published.
  • Help document repeatable AI workflows that allow the team to complete high-volume updates more efficiently.
Launches Merchandising and Quality Assurance
  • Conduct detailed quality assurance before publishing new products, promotions, landing pages, or major website updates.
  • Verify links, buttons, forms, promotional codes, product availability, pricing, images, and customer-facing copy.
  • Confirm that approved SEO fields, internal links, redirects, and analytics tracking are present before launch.
  • Maintain launch checklists and provide clear evidence that updates have been tested.
  • Follow up on reported problems and verify that fixes have been implemented correctly.
  • Review customer feedback and Gorgias patterns for recurring website, product, or checkout issues.
Coordination and Documentation
  • Manage assigned projects and recurring website tasks in Asana.
  • Coordinate with growth marketing, creative, lifecycle marketing, operations, customer experience, and development partners.
  • Communicate deadlines, dependencies, blockers, and launch readiness clearly.
  • Keep Shopify procedures, content records, launch checklists, and website documentation organized and current.
What We’re Looking For
  • One to three years of hands-on Shopify or e-commerce experience.
  • Experience creating and updating products, collections, promotions, navigation, and website content in Shopify.
  • Familiarity with basic on‑page SEO, including metadata, headings, internal linking, redirects, and image alt text.
  • Working familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, or similar website reporting tools.
  • Comfort using AI tools for structured e-commerce and content tasks while independently checking the work for accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a habit of testing work before publishing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets and learning new digital tools.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and elevate problems before they affect customers.
  • Ability to work during regular US business hours.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with a premium consumer, food and beverage, wellness, or lifestyle brand.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, Gorgias, or Shopify app integrations.
  • Experience with Profound, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or other SEO and AEO tools.
  • Familiarity with structured data or Shopify SEO applications.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience using Canva or Figma for simple website merchandising needs.
What Success Looks Like
  • Product launches, promotions, and website updates publish accurately and on time.
  • Every new or materially updated page completes the required SEO, AEO, and quality‑assurance checklist.
  • Product information remains complete, consistent, and trustworthy across the website.
  • Broken links, redirect errors, indexation problems, and customer‑experience issues are documented and followed through to resolution.
  • No pricing, promotional, inventory, or product‑claim changes are published without proper approval.
  • The team has clear visibility into completed website work, open issues, and upcoming priorities.
