Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an E-commerce & Merchandising Project Lead to support the Merchandising and E-commerce team in strategizing sales cycles, improving functionality, and optimizing operations for shop.spacex.com and employee retail stores.

The role requires strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with e-commerce platforms. It involves working extended hours and some travel to vendor sites, with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in e-commerce or digital retail environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience with platforms such as Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, or custom headless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional e-commerce projects from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization.
• Ensure timely delivery of all materials, inbound and outbound.
• Manage and maintain inventory for shop.spacex.com and SpaceX employee retail stores.
• Own PO issuance and invoice close out for the network of vendors.
• Coordinate and prioritize work across the Product team, Developers, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and external agencies/vendors.
• Monitor project KPIs (conversion rate, revenue impact, site performance, on-time delivery, budget adherence) and report insights to leadership.
