Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking an Area Manager (Outbound) to lead a warehouse team in Henrico, VA, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution in a high-volume fulfillment setting. You will coach front-line staff, monitor metrics, and drive continuous improvement to meet SLAs and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process adherence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize productivity and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or e‑commerce operations.
• Experience leading hourly associates in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs, labor productivity, quality, safety, and customer service metrics.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and deliver operational results.
• Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, and standard work.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations within inbound, outbound, fulfillment, or distribution functions to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution.
• Drive performance against key operational metrics including safety, quality, productivity, cost, throughput, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
• Lead operations within a fast-paced e-commerce and fulfillment environment, ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time while meeting SLAs.
• Coach and develop front-line associates and team leads, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Conduct daily shift huddles, floor walks, and operational reviews to communicate priorities and risks.
• Monitor workflow, staffing plans, and labor allocation to optimize performance during peak periods.
• Utilize data and performance metrics to identify opportunities, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive productivity gains and standardization.
• Promote safety culture by ensuring GMPs and safety guidelines are followed.
• Support talent development through coaching and leadership development activities.
• Drive associate engagement and an inclusive work environment.
• Lead execution during peak volume periods and new customer implementations while maintaining service and productivity.
• Collaborate with HR, Safety, Maintenance, Quality, and Site Leadership to resolve issues.
• Serve as escalation point for operational challenges and deliver timely solutions.
• Promote culture of discipline, customer obsession, and continuous improvement.
