Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Summit is seeking a part-time Shipping Clerk to accurately ship and track books/media and related collectibles. The role involves printing and sorting orders, selecting packing materials, and generating labels, with emphasis on safety and independent work.

Starting pay is $12.00 per hour. The position requires basic MS Word/Outlook skills and a general understanding of computer hardware/software, with prior shipping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous shipping experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Outlook, as well as a basic understanding of computer software and hardware, required.

Responsibilities

• Print and sort daily orders.
• Pull items to be shipped when necessary.
• Provide shipping quotes when requested.
• Select appropriate box size and packaging materials to minimize DIM weight.
• Ensure orders shipped are complete and correct.
• Notify eCommerce Supervisor of any damages or problems with shipment.
• Package shipments to minimize risk of damage.
• Generate shipping labels and return labels.
• Notify Supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Take responsibility for safety and security of merchandise; keep area clean and safe.
• Work independently with minimal instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
